Every Personal Training program is different - one size does not fit all! Depending on your goals, physical fitness level, interests, and your individual muscular inbalances, your trainer will design a custom-fit program perfect for you. When you decide to work with a trainer, you can book an appointment at a time that is convenient for you. You can train as often as you like with your trainer or as little as once every 4-8 weeks just to keep you on track and make a few changes to your program. Perhaps you'd like to start a running program, go hiking or train to improve your golf game. It's your session and we want to accommodate your goals, your needs, and your interests.
I have always been a runner, but did not dedicate nearly enough time to strength training. I would come back from a 5-miler, do a few bicep curls and abdominal crunches and call it “done.” As I got older, I became more aware of the importance of strength training in not only maintaining an injury-free running schedule but also improving race times and stamina. I knew I needed motivation and partnership to make me take on a strength training program, so I started working out with John Burr twice a week. John’s strength workouts have helped me build muscle, become more defined, and maintain the goals of my running program. He motivates me, and encourages me.
